Art is a passion I've inherited, as it has run in my family's blood for several generations. With a Grandmother that encouraged artistic expression, my sisters and I were granted free use of pastels and paints at a very early age. This strong foundation helps me to create unique pieces in a variety of styles.

I have a formal art education, have been recognized nationally with awards, and have participated in both solo and group exhibitions. Employed as a graphic artist most of my adult life with respected agencies, recently I've returned to my first love of painting. Working primarily in oils and oil pastels on canvas, I use bold color and interesting situations to try to create paintings that are more than photographic reproductions. Whenever possible, I like to personally photograph the subjects. Most of my work is commissioned and referred.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, my parents instilled in me a great love of nature, the outdoors and all animals. Today my husband and I live in Texas with our two horses, Golden Retriever, and "full figured" cat. All live harmoniously and I usually paint with an audience of several critters "offering advice."

My goal as an artist is to capture the personalities, images, and moments that make life wonderful.
